This is my Mothers brother Thomas Boland. we called him Tim and he was in hawaii in the second World War. He lied about his age in order to serve in the 1st, war also.
I made Eddie put his uniform on for me. He was in the Army Air Force as a Medic.
There is a star in the window showing that someones son or daughter was serving in the war but I am not sure where this picture of my Mom was taken.

Ed helping with Surgery on Iwo jima during the last of the war in the pacific in WW2. Ed was in the Army Air Force medical unit. He was the one at the top far left.
This has to be earlier than I first dated it as Phyllis and I lost contact with each other over my first boyfriend who she stole. We grew up together but she ended up married to the fellow in question.
Ed was a medic in the Army Air Force and he landed on Iwo Jima after the Marines took the island.

This is a 1932 Plymouth and it was Elwins first car. It was our courting car when we met after the war in 1946.

I think Dad said these were B29's on Iwo Jima during world war 2.
I thought this was Iwo Jima but Ed says it was Saipan and he should know.

This was taken early into our courtship. I met and started going with him from the first night at the roller rink right after he got home from Iwo Jima in March of 1946. I was seventeen.
